I'd like to think she had a good reason
for not offering help but I don't know what it could be

Although I'm glad you weren't seriously injured, it seems to me that your feelings may have been hurt more than any body part! And this is why our society is falling apart! How does one turn their back on another human being in obvious trouble, regardless of their age or their predicament? Terrible! I hope you're okay now . . .

Oh my, my. I am so sorry you had an ugly fall. I am more sorry about the hurt one feels when someone plainly ignores another human being in need. Where are the good Samaritans? Things world cannot last a lot longer there has been so vast a change even in the last 50 years in the culture. Are you sure you are okay?

Yes...Ben is pretty busy in our house too. And what a lovely neighbor you have. Maybe, when she comes home from the grocery store one day you can ask her if she needs any help...You know...Turn the other cheek so to speak.

I am so very sorry that happened to you and your neighbour is brain dead. I have fallen about 35 times in the past 2 years anyway and know exactly how it is to be stuck and unable to get up. My fall downtown was on ice in the street, it took 3 men to get me up but at least they were helpful to this old man. Lie down and keep warm and just live with the warm fact we love you, Kabu me and Mr. 'G'.

I am so glad that you didn't break anything! It's no fun, let me assure you! I just got out of my cast a week ago! And as far as that horrible woman is concerned, I fully agree with Pat - have nothing to do with her!

The beyutch! How dare she just walk on by like you're a sack of
potatoes lying on the sidewalk!!! I wouldn't bother to associate with her or help her figure out proper neighbor behavior. What goes around, comes around (whatever that means) and Karma can be a big ol' bite in the behind. I'm glad you didn't break or fracture and managed to get up and go again. I don't believe what didn't happen, either.

I hope that you are feeling better.
...That is something how that neighbor left you there to fend on your own...One time an ex-neighbor of mine fell. I made sure that she was okay before we headed our ways.

Stop that!
Falling down is against the rules!
I am slowly getting used to the idea that there are people in the world who think so differently from what I consider simple decency, who are compassion-light, oblivious to other people's needs... I can't imagine not helping someone, especially an Elder, who had taken a tumble.
I hope all the aches and contusions heal quickly!

I would guess she was scared Taps / probably thought you had been on the booze.
It is funny what people think, I wonder if she had been talking to you, if she would
not have been sympathetic. I think she was just scared. It is surprising how a little crowd gathers when someone falls and a confident person gives aid. I always try to pick ladies up if they trip as long as I have my weight lifting belt on.
Do take care though it happens to the best of us and sadly the bruises follow afterwards.
You could always get a check up low blood pressure can make one slightly dizzy.
the good news you did not break anything so you have good bones.
