I can understand your angst, I would of had the same reaction. Sorry it took me so long to get my selfie up in your comment space. Maybe you can move it to your post as I don't know how, I tried, honest I did.

We in Maryland are in line to get that winter storm...I have had a few times where someone called me by accident, and they did not realize that they had.

Maybe it would help to remind her

that

a)accidents happen unexpectedly: just because she doesn't expect an accident doesn't mean it won't very suddenly happen.

b)accidents don't alway happen to or hurt just the one having it: How will she feel when her carelessness hurts someone else, even kills them?

c)we all used to get around, even driving, without talking on a phone. Some things can be done before we go out on the road, and others, when we get where we're going.

I don't think I would be very happy lending your Sis my car. She does sound like an accident waiting to happen. Even if it is a no hands job, one can soon lose concentration.

She is probably living in in the gentle past . Perhaps one of your sons could warn her, really for her own and the family's sake.

It'll cost you $75 for first offense and you can lose your license for more

talking on a hand-held device in IL now. It's scary on the road - worse than drunk drivers who are usually out in the evening - with distracted drivers weaving all over the road while talking or texting. Glad your sis and the others made it safely... :D

TAPS

Here in Ontario it is illegal to use a hand-held cell phone while driving, and for good reason - most people can't drive anyway, LOL. Since Sis seems to be incorrigible, you might at least get her a Blue Tooth clip for her ear. I'm sure Son can tell you about that...
