Re: Pat
Pat he did not do it on purpose, so I'll just forget it and be more careful in the future. a good job it was not my other brother it would have worried him very much. I shall have to tell him as he is about to have his car checked by the same garage. Just for a joke I'll say they put new batteries on as a standard feature from now on.

I love Ms. Wolfy's adventurous spirit. She could hold her own
with just about anyone, I'm guessing. You might not want to bother, but the guy who cheated you on the battery deal owes you some money back. Guess we should always do our homework before putting ourselves in their hands.

Re:
Sounds quite lenient Jimmy, but then I suppose you have more room to avoid each other. One cannot get a licence if this check is not completed. Of course a few ride round uninsured until they have an accident.

That guy pulled a fast one! But even if he 'misunderstood', since the old battery was guaranteed for the life of your car, you shouldn't have to pay for the replacement anyway! And you can ask Ms Woolfy if she neeeds some help with the haying this summer, I wouldn't mind a bit of a roll in the hay fresh country air...

a car has to be a certain age in Australia before things are tested...i have no idea how old, I have no idea what they look for apart from rust...I know nothing about cars, but if they put the wrong battery like that I would screech like a white Cockatoo because I hate paying car Bills.

Nope, we don't do that here, all they do is an emission test after so many years or something Bro.

Over here, they're called 'inspections,' and now, in most states, it is only necessary every two years. However, there are a few garages that will inspect your vehicle, correct any problems, and then 'pass' you. Sometimes it's 'legit,' and some times you have to nonchalantly stick a few quid into someone's pocket. It's all good . . .
