So sorry to hear of this, and your angst is perfectly understandable. Take your time, and do what you feel you need to do . . .

I'm sorry you lost your friend - there's so much more to a friend than

what you can see from outside that close little circle. I'm sorry his suffering caused you so much pain and frustration. I hope acceptance will soon bring peace to your heart.

The poem needs to be set to music, sung among friends. It is wonderful.

Yes it sort of felt you were down Jay. Try not to take up the drink for the sake of the family and try to remember most folk do not feel as passionate about things as you do.

Basically I think most memory is apt to fade or we would be forever tormented. Not many can imagine suffering so real as you do. Although I can never forget two episodes that you described which must have really scarred your mind terribly. This will passed each bout of sadness makes it seem unlikely, but it will. Just a suggestion try and write a few gentle poems, that dragon inside you can be calmed if you do not poke flames into its den.

I like the way you write about life--some of it good, some of it hard, some of it sad, some of it miserable.  Life's like that and a really good writer can't just write happy all of the time.  I'm sorry the grief is getting to you right now, but grieving doesn't last forever, and it helps one heal.

I'm so very sorry! It is terribly sad to lose our friends, even though it is a sadness we shall have to bear until our time comes...

you certainly haven't offended me. I am sad perhaps because I haven't read all your works. Take care of you. I will go back and catch up.
