As always with this ridiculous world, it's 'one step forward, two steps back.' Forget travelling. I'm staying right here . . .

After all the work done to eradicate these diseases from the world, what a pity that there are people that refuse to cooperate to keep them diminished.  I'm old enough to remember people whose lives were cut short or made terribly difficult because of polio.

So incredibly sad it is that polio is still in some parts of the world...Also incredibly sad is how a woman's worth is judged by the quality of her husband.

and I wonder how many other diseases as well. I believe that measles too is on the way back and if you had ever nursed the after math of secondary complications to measles as I have it is a criminal risk. we are dealing with people with modern weapons and travel ability but with the mentality and education of the 700's There is no end to what is coming in the return of diseases we hoped to see the end to.

I don't know what to say. I'm thinking that if this is their belief and it always has been, what took the virus so long to come back and where did it go and why did it go there if they were not getting their shots in the first place? So is the Muslim world rampant with polio, measles, whooping cough and the likes?
