I love my city and I so appreciate everyone who goes out of their way to keep it beautiful and fit for living, enjoying, learning, etc.

That did sound like a nice surprise. Cemeteries are usually quite depressing-looking. And I think if more people took at least some pride in their own communities, things would look a lot better for everyone. Our town is quite small, tucked between a cluster of mountains, but we have no graffiti on our buildings, our parks and playgrounds are spotless, and everyone's interactions are always amiable. I think the world could benefit from observing the 'small town charms' many similar communities offer . . .
