Just like with the various food products that aren't supposed to be good for us, it has to do with excess. Moderation is always the key. But for me, it's not just sitting in front of the TV, but rather, what we're watching. If you put on the World News to gain information, or the History Channel or the Discovery Channel to broaden your horizons and learn something you never knew before, then it is indeed worth the odd hour or so of your time. But if you're only drawn in to soap operas, Dancing With The Stars, Oprah or Who Wants To Marry An Idiot, well, then it's definitely time to pull that plug . . .

I get very tired of tv.  It is on everywhere.  People don't even turn it off when you are visiting them.  They take it for granted that they must entertain you with the tv.
