- Go to THE GOOD BLACK HISTORY WE DOON'T SEE IN THE HISTORY BOOKS
Restoring Order
When you ask a black person what black history they are being taught in school they respond with following people.
1. jackie Robinson
2. Martin Luther King
3.George Washington Carver
4. Rosa Parks
5. Malcolm x
Which brings me to my point, i propose that black history month changed to another month so that we can learn about more than just the five people listed above.

As usual, most historians of the past only wrote of those things they wanted people to know. There are many 'lost reads' about such topics, the most recent of which that I have read was called "The State of Jones" by Jeff Stauffer.

Unfortunately, most of what passes for history these days is heavily skewed...

A very interesting read. I did not know about this history. I wonder why these stories are not in our history books.
What I do know is that there wer a few African Americans were elected to office in the South after the Civil War. Little is known about them.

A very interesting post. I have tried to keep up on interesting Black History because of my four grandsons who are mixed race. Their mother was very good at suggesting things to read or watch.
