I also see that Pat goes straight to the biggest kooks on the face of the earth, the Marlboro Baptists, a family that calls themselves Christians. I wonder if she can be more specific as to the actual violence committed against gays by actual Christians?

The response part of your post puts me in mind of Ft. Hood, but then the media called that act of terror "work place violence" so this will only confuse the majority here on Blogit, who would not understand as they have been lied to by the President and the media...Again. The latter part of your post makes me ashamed to be an American. Now when I think of what the Bible tells us of the last days, I have to wonder if they haven't started, but then, when I think about it I am sure they have for those poor souls who were murdered in the name of a...god?

It is alarming what is happening to Christians in the Middle East.

As for other parts of your post - I agree with you - absolute

refusal to become part of our social structure, to assimilate as it were, is puzzling and disturbing. If they don't want to become part of this culture, why not stay where their mode of dress and cultual habits are the norm?  Does tend to rouse suspicions among those who pay attention.

Re: your question --

"How many terrorist acts can we ascribe to fundamentalist Christians?"

For one, I'm thinking of the group that pickets the funerals of fallen soldiers
carrying signs that say "God Hates Fags" and others that proclaim these
deaths are God's punishment because the U.S. permits homosexual rights.
Westboro Baptist Kristians are as hateful as any I can think of, and they do
promote violence against gays, which is in my book a terrorist activity.

isn't it terrible how Christians are again being targeted, and it is escalating rapidly and so scary. I am glad that my days of travel to exotic places are done, and I pray for the safety of the brave Christians who live amongst such hate.
