I always try to bag my own groceries...It gives me a feeling of accomplishment, and I always bring a couple of shopping carts in when I come to the store, and I pick items up that have been dropped on the floor and I even cleaned up someones mess the other day...The clerks and the managers are always quick to mark something down for me. For example, I bought two New York steaks the other day for 9 something each, but the meat lady only charged me for one...It was in front of her counter that I cleaned the mess up.

Our grocery store has 'baggers' too, but I actually prefer to bag my items myself. Too many times our potato chips have been crushed under the weight of a bottle of juice! And hey, you were only off by one year on your son's age. That's not too bad . . .

Re:
they usually do but maybe because there were so many shoppers they didnt have enough baggers but to ask seniors to take the groceries to the carts. The clerk was bagging them but expected me to take them and put them in the cart

I find that it can be very tough to keep track of ages, so I would not be embarrassed.
That is something how they are not bagging the groceries for you all at the store. I wonder if their competitors do.

that would be right...no one to help the older folk and it isn't as though they offer 30% or such. I do know that every little bit helps for sure but they could help you a bitwith the bags. anf don't worry about the sons i have to do my adding up each year. I know their birthdays of course and the year they were born and even the minute but I always have to work out that they or no longer 17 and 15...the age they were when I split from their Dad.
