Once upon a time I grew a few tomatoes. I had five plants, since there was no point in growing them from seed. I gave up hwhen a new neighbour moved in with hisw dogs... the neighbour has since left, and so have his dogs, but I havent resumed my tomato farming...

Re: Re: Re: Ciel
Sure Ciel honestly I don't think beans are much cop in your country, well not the runner beans that we slice. The birds use to take the red flowers here so I grow white flowered.
I expect you could do OK with peppers in pots, if you like them of course. I don't know what the cone flowers are did you photograph them?

Re: Re: Ciel
My biggest success last summer was the pot of morning glories that worked their way over the railing. I collected the seeds, and will spread those around again. I will try the sweet peas again, and the beans. I lost that contest so thoroughly last year, I probably had the best worst bean garden ever! And I bet I can do it again!
I also have seeds from the cone flowers I bought already blooming. Maybe they'll grow, too.

Re: Pat
Well Pat we usually do not plant tender stock out until the latter part of May so a bit of growing inside for quite a while. The seed companies try to rush things as usual.

Re: Kabu
I think Archie is like a good many Kabu, he finds it hard to be nice at home all the time.
probably a cause of his malady.

Re: Ciel
Sweet peas will stand a bit of cold, but it is a bit different with most things as you know. Are we going to have our bean growing contest again this year?

I know here in the miserably cold Midwest, true gardners are
thinking of seeds and cultivating, but it seems to me spring's never going to come and who wants to get frostbite working ground that's thawed today but will freeze solid again tomorrow? Gardners are such determined people.
