Re: CCT,
Thanks, Mr Poet! Sometimes, if I am writing free or blank verse, to get the rhythms right, I imagine hearing Garrison Keillor read them aloud. He has such an easy stride through a poem, and his particular voice charms me! Do you get "Prairie Home Companion" on your English radios?

This is a segment of one show.
This one is a speaking engagement I find engaging--I can put this sort of thing on, and putter around the house doing things.

Re: Thanks,TAPS,
I know you know what it's like... how positively special are the children who are born with such limitation, yet so capable of the greatest love and sweetness. I didn't realize until your comment yesterday, in your blog, that Phil has the mental age of ~2. Lucky he has you and his dad, though perhaps luck doesn't come into it, any more than coincidence.

Re: Pat,
This neighbor sounds like a wonderful subject for you to write about at length!

Yes you write nice poems Ciel. I like the rhymed one better personally. Although free verse is somewhat harder to write, although better if one cannot deal with the other. Both very nice though, fancy knowing a poetess.

Beautiful. Both of them...
We had a neighbor with Down Syndome, brilliant at pantomime. His grandpa was a baseball scout and the sport was HUGE in the family, so R.A. could hit, run, slide, pitch, catch and cheer, without having a bat or a ball. All the neighbor kids treated him just like everyone else, one of the gang. He taught us a lot.
