It is still difficult for me getting around with my bad leg and at -30c I just like being ins whenever I can.

it is the ability that I miss. I used to be so much more energetic just 5 years ago. and when I first came here I could not be kept indoors. Now I get Asthma in the freeze outside and just waddle quickly from one store to the car and home.

You paint some lovely pictures and evoke some memories of my own! I am so ready to escape this maelstrom of cold and head south for a couple of weeks, but with my damaged flipper I'm tethered here. I still drive, though, and if I can't make it to the Carnival in Rio, maybe I'll get to the Winter Carnival at Quebec City...

You will have to just sit in your car and imagine skidding up the road Pat. Make sure the battery is working . That must have been a grand sight watching the eagles not many have had that privilege.

I feel your nostalgia, the ache of memory of times and feelings
long gone. So much of the past I would not go back to, and would not wish to repeat, but to have that energy again, that sense of vitality and no sense of mortality... I'd like some of that!
