I guess she needed to unload and you were the chosen one.
Now and then is okay, I guess, but not too often. That kind of thing can spoil one's day for sure, and life is too short not to SMILE!!

I suppose she turned out to be the "fly in your ointment" that day! Some people might even refer to her as a 'downer.' I don't know why she assumed you were there simply to cheer her up! Sometimes it goes both ways . . .

Sadly she is in a sweet spot at the moment Pat, you must use the old trick and cough over the phone or say don't come in I have the flue. I have a bad cold very often when I visit some folk. I don't go into the house as a I don't want to contaminate them.

Well it's done now, leave her behind again for a bit. Ian, the friend we had with his wife Anna, I sent them an e-mail that ended that 'way too long' relationship.Joyce used to mother Anna as they taught in the same school, but I had enough of Ian so I told them that the relationship was done. What a relief.

No doubt she thought her 'dependence' on your emotional dumping ground
would be just the thing to cheer you up. You may listen for 49 minutes because you're being her friend, but she seems incapable of being a friend to you.
