My wife and I do our best to use coupons when they are available, especially for the items we use frequently. And I believe our 'procedure' when utilizing those coupons follows exactly how you have mapped it out. One thing we try to avoid is purchasing something simply because we came across a coupon for it, unless it's a new product we were thinking of trying anyway. Yes, sometimes the savings can be outstanding . . .
