Believe me, I understand, TAPS. There have been many times when my wife and I would hear or see something ridiculous like this, and actually be thankful that our fathers are not here to be a part of them too! Let's keep our fingers crossed for three things: one, that this doesn't drag on for months and months and months; two, that the Satanic Temple doesn't suddenly receive more attention than it deserves; and three, that simple logic rules the day! We'll see . . .

I have a feeling you're right, C C T, although your answer may be interrupted by bouts of laughter. Certain people or groups, when you give them enough rope, end up hanging themselves. Perhaps this is just a bad joke with a terrible punchline! I'll keep you informed . . .

Sorry to get you somewhat 'rattled' with this one, Carolyn, but it is in the news, and is going to be presented to the entire public sooner or later! Don't worry . . . I'm going to go ahead and assume that cooler, and logical, heads will prevail, and this ridiculousness will die the undistinguished death it deserves! Keep up the good fight . . .

If only it were that simple, Naut. Don't worry . . . I completely agree with you! But you know as well as I do how the liberal courts are probably going to let this one play out. Apparently, everyone is due their say, regardless, and this will be no different. And you're right . . . this one is not worth any sophisticated argument, because it is so 'downright stupid!' By the way, I think you're doing excellent with only one hand . . .

That would be interesting, Utah. However, around that same time period, they were still burning people at the stake for suspected witchcraft. I sincerely doubt anyone of that time period would even consider such a statue . . .

i like naut's governorship. i vote for him. i've heard it said that people worship satan because they are afraid and want his power. i also heard they bury people alive in coffins as part of some hazing ritual. lots of wicked stuff in this world. i'm glad i know Jesus and he says don't worry or have anxiety about anything. God's power trumps satan all the time and there are many more angels than demons on this planet. i think it says in the old testament that only one third of the angels became satanic turn coats. that leaves two thirds serving a much more benevolant ruler and king. guess you got me going on this one. maybe ok needs a little shaking up. as the old song goes ya gotta serve somebody.

The whole thing, including the 'justification' for wanting to put it up, is so downright stupid, that I am not gonna waste any effort on arguing against it, which would dignify more than it deserves, especially since I am typing with one hand these days, lol...If I were the gov, I would say, 'Just f*** off'...

On the subject of the poll, along with those who are for the Satan statue, I wonder how many were "Undecided."...That is, indeed, quite the portrayal of Satan there...Like you, I am curiou to see how this plays out. I would not be surprised to see other religions enter the fray.
