Mmmm...Rhubarb! I love it!
And yes, the leaves contain a dangerous amount of oxalic acid, which is why not to eat those.
It would be fun to grow a Giant Garden with things like rhubarb and sunflowers and some of the other plants that grow huge!

Impossible Carolyne he has it to a fine art . You would have to comment on everyone's blog forever to harvest a similar response. I just received 8 dollars for the month so he must be rolling in the dough. Kabu is the one to watch a dark horse in the race for glory.

Re: Jay
It is quite annoying Jay this spell checker only does the American spelling honour is spelled honor it seems either a bit lazy or kind of utility. Join the club I cannot spell for toffees but I can usually see if a word is different .

We all know I am not a good speller and so I leave much to the spell check and when one spells gentle, gental, the spell just does its thing and there we go...Trusting

Glad the gnashers were ok, it seems to me dentists are more adept at extracting cash than teeth these days. Hope the car is sorted now

Re: Pat
It is a bit frightening, but having been on an insurance plan for years.I felt I was getting second hand treatment, Not even a glass of liquid to swill out with. So I bit the bullet and canceled the World Cruise. No I don't use the car that much and I am afraid to go far in case the floods are out.

Re: Taps
These chrysanthemums came in a collection. Spiders I think they are called. Not my choice either, but I let them grow in different colours, it seemed a lot of effort to produce such blooms.

Re:
Jay there once was a famous poet and one day he saw a word that he liked so much, he started putting into all his poems years later he found out its meaning, people were too overawed to wonder what it mean't. I wish I could remember it, I could do with a word like that.

Goodness you need some new stock Kabu, but Arthur says it is not good for people, he rambled on about it containing some chemical. Well he was a research scientist. So I will plant raspberries instead.

You have a lot of info in this one post--lots of variety and things of interest.
This flower is probably my least favorite of all that you have shown. It looks like something out to get me.

I went to the dentist recently as well. Everything is copacetic! No wheelbarrows full of fillings for me!
By the way, a friend of mine was telling me he recently had interactions with an English woman who said she was from a town called Bicester. Although I'm sure the odds are somewhat against it, just out of curiosity, is that anywhere near you?

At this point I'm a bit ticked off at my dentist - and his billing clerk.
No point in boring you with details, I suppose I could call & straighten everything out. As for your battery, it may be that you accidentally left the door ajar and the warning light just burned up all the juice. I hope you managed to keep your appointment, even though seeing the dentist may not be your favorite activity.

Re:NAUT

The power complex. Naut. I don't wish to spoil your dream, but in my experience which has always been painful. She would have had you in there every week with a multitude of mini fillings, ask any lady for the honest truth. So as I guess you were a kind of Casanova at that stage I can also assure you that she was married and did not want to have to resist the temptation you might have offered.

So you have lady dentist? I had one once - actually twice, since there was no need for further visits. She was stunning - beautiful, charming and even nice, and on top of that she had gentle hands and I'm sure was a good dentist. And I fell in love...For weeks I wrestled with the temptation to ask her out, but I knew that my life would have become unbearaly complicated had she said yes - or simpler...In any case, I never did call her again, but I still wonder what would have happened if I had. Maybe no more than 'Thank you, but no - I am happily married'...LOL...
