I'm glad her trip won't be as hectic as all that! And I'm relieved also to know I am not the only one the adds things up sometimes, and gets the wrong number!

Re: Ciel
Yes, she is using some frequent-flyer miles, but her flight pattern is not as crazy as I first thought it was. It was me that was messed up.

Re: JimmyA
I think I am the ridiculous one. I got me straightened out and Sis's flight pattern looks pretty good now.

Re: Pat_B
After further study, I find that some airline clerk was not messing with a passenger, some gnome (or worse) was messing with my head. All's well with Sis's flight, but there is a lot of gurgling and popping inside my head today. LOL

Re: Ciel
On thinking more about it, I have sent her an email for more info, for clarification. She is a smart lady. I can't believe she would do this. I'm waiting for her reply.

I wonder if she is using frequent flier miles.
Last time I went to NZ, I went from Seattle to Salt Lake City to Los Angeles to Sydney to Wellington. That was how it was arranged using frequent flier miles, which restricted what airlines I could fly.
That is a ridiculous routing she has, and a ridiculous attitude on the part of whichever airline she is flying on.

That has got to be one of the most ridiculous flight patterns I have ever seen, regardless of where the final destination may be! And their excuse of a 'full flight' doesn't seem to wash! Yeah, I don't blame you for not wanting to fly anymore . . .

Why would some clerk at the airline mess with a passenger that way?
Time to talk to the FAA or the CEO of the airline. Or miss the first big circle and catch the plane on its second go-round. Yikes!

Well I guess I would hitch up my old horse and buggy if it were the old days. It kind of puts one off visiting.
