Re: Requiem for an ant.

Well one can't win them all Pat. I don't want to model as an ant, about all the joy one would get. No I try to avoid Gluten and normal milk, well milk and water as it must be these days.

Re: Like the heated driveway a neighbor installed so he wouldn't have to

Better to be dead than buried Ciel . 'Put me down, you silly ants, where's the Doctor?'

Good idea though if one kicks the bucket.

Re: CCT

Well he is not really Scroogey, Naut just a pain in the ass sometimes.  I have to take the roof off the tunnels it is net, I think it will be wiser than trying to scrape snow off,as the structure for these  should have been more robust.Pity it was not in A Church Yard.

Re: Kabu

I use to get them on my ears in the old days, but the real torment was on one's feet

when they warmed up in bed.Funnily enough I had them about three years ago and had a real job to find any Chilblain ointment locally. The oldies in those days used an onion or dipped their tootsies in the jerry.

CCT

Even over Christams Arthur is not leaving off his Scroogey ways, is he? And I don't quite understand why you need to remove things when you expect snow - I would have thought you'd add things! Goes to show you what I know of the sweet science of horticulture...And yes, I am very impressed with your elegie to that departed ant...

Like the heated driveway a neighbor installed so he wouldn't have to

shovel snow.  He had to shovel cats.

I hope yours doesn't propogate.

The Ant is charming!  Did you know that if some Scientist comes along and daubs a live ant with the pheromones of a dead ant, the other ants will cart the live ant out of the nest, as they do dead ones? Every time it goes back home, they will cart it out again.

Smart cat.   I've never seen a sand heater but it sounds like it would do the job nicely.

Requiem for an ant.

Next thing you know, Disney/Pixar will make a movie on this theme, but I doubt they'll put your name in the credits as author or even tech adviser. Beef pie. I really enjoy a nice pot pie, or used to until the flour became the bearer of bad juju for my gut.
