Go to some organizations that are for seniors you will be surprised to find lots of nice, fun and interesting people. Get new friends and be busy a few times when they plan things and they will see how you feel. They love you but you have been there for them for everything and no requirements for the reverse, they don't think about it. So get busy with creating a new life for yourself. Love and blessings for the coming year.

i have that problem with my son...but it's his paying the utility bills...he is getting better at it though

the biggest thrill for me this gift opening time was when i discovered my brother who ALWAYS gives gifts (even though he is rarely home and in montana), sent me the exact same comforter in my favorite colors light blue and navy blue that he got me last year. when we talked on skype on christmas day he said he was sorry which he most assuredly didn't need to do. i had such a good chuckle out of it and i can always use another nice comforter. we have lately decided not to exchange gifte where children are not involved, but my dad gave me a gift certificate and so did my church for helping with sunday school. i thouroughly enjoyed getting gifts where not expected. though the biggest let down was no longer having Mom with us this year. she passed away in May but she was really suffering so we take comfort knowing she's with jesus.

It was lovely of your daughter to cook and her feeling the morning sickness and all. I guess she felt that was her gift to you. Perhaps SIL. comes from a family that isn't big on gifts??? I must say that I do enjoy a parcel to open!!!!!
