oh i have no doubt that i am not her favorite...my sister patti is and her son and this nephew come in next....there is a long line ahead of me and i am ok with it...just want her to honor her promise

mmmmm he is one of her favorite grandsons since he was born with a lot of birth defects...but that is not the point...the point is i called ahead to make sure i had the room

I came home that night and then my son woke me in the morning...i begged to just stay in my room but he came back again...so i went out to open presents with them...it was nice...then i went back to my room again...

That does sound like you're being treated like a 'second-class citizen' at your mom's, and I can't imagine why, especially since you phoned ahead of time! I wonder what would have happened if you called to say you were coming, but then just never showed up! How would that have been received? I know two wrongs don't make a right, but sometimes people need to be 'force-fed' their own medicine! Hope you had a nice Christmas anyway . . .

Sadly A. We never lose that feeling of wanting to be a mothers favourite, it is inbred in all of us. Mothers do have favourites it is human nature, but sometimes it is for the wrong reason. In her mind she probably thinks our Anncita won't mind, she can fit in anywhere. At this moment you need love and a little consideration, but Mum does not realise this fact. Have two roses

You are right of course...One has to make a stansd at some stage and right now you need a bit more TLC than a nephew!!!! Try to salvage some Christmas fun from somewhere love.
