Re:
In other words, TAPS, you went a little overboard! That's okay. On Christmas Eve, at my niece's house, someone had made some kind of pepperoni & cheese bread snacks that were unbelievably delicious! Being married to a vegetarian, I rarely get to have such treats, so I kinda over-indulged a bit on these things while conversing with one of my nephews. Before I knew it, I was so bloated I almost exploded, and boy did I pay for it the next morning! Thank goodness it's only once a year . . .

I didn't do any eggnog, but I did eat too many gingersnaps at one sitting and it kind of gave me a pain in my abdomen. I think it bothered my old gall bladder....especially since I was decorating mine with a gob of whipped cream for good measure.

Re:
A sincere thanks to one and all for stopping by, and for your wishes! My wife and I had a wonderful time with family at my niece's house. I hope everyone's Christmas was equally splendid!
And now, onto New Years . . .

I fully agree with your sentiments - clearly, we're seeing eye-to-eye here, LOL. And I also like egg nog for Christmas - I usually have Bols Advocaat, a Dutch product, it's excellent...And Merry Christmas!
