Wow Naut that is how I remember it just once here. Poor trees and a good idea those spiky shoes I have an old pair with spikes attached, but not needed so far.

beautiful pictures...One doesn't want to see the trees ruined but they do look fabulous with the ice. Love the squirrel taking advantage of your generosity in the last picture.

Amazing! My wife and I went through something similar, and equally devastating, last year, including downed tress and power lines, and we too lost power for a couple of days. And you're right . . . when you live in an area or region rarely touched by Mother Nature's wrath, it's that much more dramatic when something like this does hit! So far we've only had rain down here, of which I'm thankful! No snow, no ice . . .
