Re: JIMMY
Jimmy. Archie had a row with a married woman in his usual pub. This was before he was married. He used to sit in front of the door to the woman' toilets. (I think she had a weak bladder. So she had to keep asking him to move which seemed to satify him somehow.

Wow! I can only assume that if Archie had been there when she was pulling out that glass-covered lettuce instead of you, he probably wouldn't have warned her about it at all! I'm glad at least that he stood his ground, and didn't let her get away with any shenanigans . . .

CCT
That scene with the old woman - straight out of Dickens, just substitute some horse-drawn cart for the car...And the poem is a marvellous reminder of what we are - the dust of ancient, long since exploded stars...

Ah well nothing like the eccentricities of the older generation to keep one amused...rude little old lady though...and tough. Still it was pretty tough for everyone during and after the war years.

I know of a few people who dig through the waste...I find "Stars" to be very soothing.
