Well Pat I had a similar experience I switched to broad band and the so called engineer
just used the old wires it kept cutting out and the phone was crackly. I kept sending emails saying things like their hamster must be tired as the tread-wheel that worked the electricity did not appear to connect me at times. So they sent out a good guy who said it was a shambles and reconnected me to a direct line, I offered him a bottle of wine but he said they were not allowed to take gifts.First I had heard of that practice .

Excellent....It might not seem much to some people but as the cost of living increases we little people can do so much with all that extra cash, like pay other Bills!!! well done and all without having to throw a hissy fit.
