Although they may make you 'teary,' it is always good to reminisce and keep the past alive. I'm sure your mom, grandmother and aunts are with you always . . .

I can see why you love the old familiar scenes and songs.
Who's to say our departed loved ones are not gathered with us, soaking up a bit of the fun you have with your kids and grandkids? I'm imagining that's why certain memories come to mind at times when family gets together.

Now why can't we have more of this, instead of interminable modern
holiday songs that just never seem to end...? Well, I guess some folks like em, but I'd rather hear the traditional music, and music that really celebrates, like this!

What a lovely tradition...and it seems to me that the older I get, the more I too miss my parents and my favorite Aunties. I really never thought at the time that those years would end.
