Cynthia - It will take as long as it takes and suddenly fall into place.
I am very fortunate because I am not in a chain. My buyers are not selling their other property, And we are not buying until we are in situ. We will be staying with someone initially and then renting. Soon I won't be writing much. At the moment everything is poised. The crazyness will start anytime. Stay calm.

BB this process of having to sell your home

before you can close the deal on the one you want to buy while they are still trying to sell because they won't sign a contingency offer, they want to see the money in the bank, is giving me an ulcer. Tough to focus enough to write. How did you manage?

Cynthia
I relate to this post completely. We too have the work of artist friends, associates and students in our home and we too are selling up. Recently my partner exhibited at a prestigious venue. We swapped work with the artist who organized the show and acquired a pair of stunning paintings to adorn our new home. The best part is that the paintings are more than decorative. We know why and where they were painting and about the love affair the artist was having in a port on a tiny island.
We can't wait to create the next home. We too are leaving a small home and the art added to the appeal for the buyers. So much so they are interested in acquiring some.
