Re: JimmyA

Thanks, Sir Wiley. I know there's always at least one amongst these each week that really 'gets ya' . . .

Re: JimmyA

I'm not sure, Bill, if I fully understand your question, or your reference. However, it did spark an interesting bit of trivia. Do you know what the word 'gidget' means, or rather, how it was created? Tune in tomorrow . . .

Or maybe he did, lustor, but just couldn't get out of the way in time! He'll know better next time, if there is a next time . . .

Re: very funny,,

We are very much alike, jesse. For the most part, I couldn't care less about those kinds of things either. But many people over the years have made references to Sally Field's acceptance speech because she had the audacity to keep saying "You like me! You really like me!" as if she was shocked she was even considered for an award ( it was for the movie "Norma Rae" ). And as for the Grinch, well, he very well may have been a disgruntled CEO. Who knows?

Re:

You're quite welcome, Justi. Always nice to get people's weeks started with a chuckle or two. And sometimes there's a lot of reality mixed in with comedy. That's what usually makes it even funnier . . .

Re: Okay Jimmy..now I am confused...:)

Hard to say, Rumor. Perhaps we should ask the horse! Sometimes what we consider "playing" may upset certain individuals in the animal kingdom! And don't forget, Mr. Karloff provided the voice of the Grinch as well! A true classic . . .

Re:

Okay, Kabu, now I understand. Like a moth to a flame, so are our kitties to bright, shiny playable objects! As long as you don't mind wandering around the house picking up the pieces . . .

Re: Jimmy

Good luck with that, Naut! But trusting the Grinch with your Christmas shopping is probably akin to trusting Bernie Madoff with your check book! You'll definitely end up with less than you started with . . .

Re:

As always, Kabu, you're very welcome. Yeah, when it's cold, wet and snowy outside, there's nothing better than getting a few chuckles while you're inside. Keep similin' . . .

Re:

Thanks, FSI. I thought so too. When these thoughts and witticisms come to me, I don't analyze or agonize over them. I just jot them down, fine-tune them, and present them each Monday. I'll keep it going for as long as I can . . .

Re:

That's possible, C C T, and thanks for the admiration and the vote of confidence.  I too have often wondered why the powers-that-be here in Blog-it don't try to find a way of "branching out," and attracting more subscribers. Perhaps there may be a way of offering a service for a small fee so "outsiders" can at least read and comment on existing blogs, and not necessarily feel inclined to post one themselves. Yes, our happy little family does seem to be dwindling . . .

Where is everyone I did not even realize it was chuckles day. I cannot help but admire your contribution amongst this declining body of contributors. Any way I have just signed up for another year so you will have one loyal fan. I had an idea if blogit offered admittance at a reduced rate, one would not receive any benefits, or award any,  it might encourage more entries.
