Probably the catalyst to the whole situation was the fact that she was in a 'sports utility vehicle,' by herself! To this day I cannot understand people's need to drive such monstrous cars when there's no one else in the vehicle but them! Many was the time I had difficulty pulling out of a spot because I couldn't see on both sides of me because I was surrounded by these behemoths! Personally, I probably wouldn't have said anything to her at all . . .
