Hi Sinome the princess

It has pathos, poignancy and a sad heart that is so touching! Be well my friend.

This is so true

I've felt this way before

It has happened many a time

It always hurts

Thank you for sharing

The love is always there

and can never be washed away and like the wave it will always return to you again and again reminding you of neverending love.

As Your waves came in...

They reached the shore of my heart,

Washed over my thoughts,

My mind,

My dreams.

And reminded me that love was still possible...

Even for a scared heart like mine.

The scars, they do not fade,

But perhaps they help to keep someone from

ever taking a moment of love for granted again.

Thank you, sweet girl.

Sinome

This poem reminds me of some of my fondest memories, of strolling along a lonely beach, listening to the surf...

I just stopped by to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and to tell you what a wonderful poet you are.

To roll back time one would have to control the elements. I don't think those footprints are really destroyed or we would not see them as we read your poem.

The beach with the waves rolling in always refreshes me with the continuity ...endless eons of sands and time. somehow it makes me feel that whether I am here or not...before I came, after I am gone...life on earth goes on.
