Interesting expression! I wonder if it was something he had used in one of his speeches, and it just sort of popped out. And if he's still around and should hear of Charlie's band, I'm sure he'd be tickled pink...

Re: Pat,
I am looking forward to their show on Friday, and I hope to be able to share some of it with Blogit either through Flickr or Youtube.

Re: CCT,
Just goes to show how folksy and down-home those south Thurston County Republicans can be! (Thurston County is a very diverse region, with a preponderance of conservative rural folk in the south. It balances the mildewed neo-hippies in the middle and the yupper middle class towards the north.)
I'm glad he didn't say, Get off the blinkin' road, ya bloody git!

One thing about legislators, most of them have a way with words.
No doubt they're the basis of the term "silver-tongued devil." I hope the band makes great music and attracts enough fans to keep them in it.

Well good job he did not say Cats and dogs. Or stair-rods. I suppose if he had said .'Want A lift?' No I am going to use that for my illusory Band. Good old Charlie.

I like it when encouragement is given to teens and compliments when they are due.
