Re: Childhood is the foundation of a life

I myself am not a drinker. Alcoholism runs on both sides of the family, and I did not want to take the chance...Childhood memories remain with us for a lifetime...

CCT

I know people have strange desires, but for a girl to try roliing down a young man's socks is certainly among the stranger ones, LOL...And yes, we carry our child within us, but it's capable of learning as we all are, if we let it...

Childhood is the foundation of a life

and even when it's been built over and remodeled a few times, it is still there.  To change out a particular building block when we've forgotten it's even there, that's a challenge! Your poems send me down some interesting paths.

I think, in some cases, the booze might be better than the mineral water! But, as always, it really comes down to moderation. Unless, of course, you're trying to sell mineral water! And I suppose you should be grateful that those girls only wanted to roll down your socks! Sometimes things can get somewhat out of hand on a bus . . .

Those young girls on the bus would not be so young any more,

but I'll bet they could still belt out a rendition of "Too Young." That was a really big song in its time. As for childhood guilts - oh, I think you're right, they stick to us...
