Well one can get a snappy little dog, so no reason not to get a gentle minded large one. Most dog will be aggressive if they are urged to do so same as children.

It is a great piece of writing and i agree with you about the doggies. It really is all in the hands and heart of the owners. I am not so sure about humans....some anyway.

Whether it was your first posting or not, it's a very good piece. In a way, it seems to fall under the "nature vs. nurture" debate. Sometimes people, or dogs, are the way they are because of who they surround themselves with. However, the main difference is, people have a choice. The dogs do not . . .

Love Everybody, Trust Nobody
as the saying goes. The Pit Bull looks fierce on the outside but may be soft on the inside. No problem there. The real danger lies in what appears soft on the outside but is fierce inside, like that cuddly lion cub you see on Safari and you get out of the safety of the Safari truck to go and pat the 'critter' on the head. Many an American tourist has come to grief in Africa for not listening to a Game Ranger's warnings not to feed, try to pet or photograph wild animals at close range.

You do a fine job at describing why those people act that way.
