You do not want low thyroid. If you are worried about diet....forget newfangled this and that machines and fairy dust to sprinkle over what you eat...see a dietician!!!!

My dad has a joint disease called AS Disease. There is a medicine out there that slows down the progression of the disease. However, the side effects have made him leery. I know what you mean about the cure being worse than the condition.

Pat
I certainly hope you get that sorted out! I did some 'web research' into various special diets some years ago, and found a lot of strange and often contradictory stuff. I gave up on all that, and I'm doing very well on my own version of a Mediterranean diet, without being religious about it, being allergic to religion, LOL...But even in that respect I'm not consistent - I religiously avoid 'junk food' - how anyone can consider junk as food is beyond me...I should add, however, that I'm in the extremely fortunate position of not having to take pills of any kind, aside from the odd aspirin when someone or something has given me a headache...

Re: CCT
Ah, CCT, I know you are wise and your comments are right on target. I have thought about the fruit and veggies in the drink, which I believe is finally the amount I should have been eating all along instead of starches and "carbs." I'm thinking maybe I was getting by on poor nutrition thanks to the vitamin supplements.
I'm beginning to wonder if any doctor / nutritionist / guru actually knows his ass from a hole in the ground.

I know Pat it is a job to know really what the pills are doing.
I suppose we have to trust someone.
It does seem however that some pills are given out and then forgotten,
I suppose if the patient does not complain it is taken as a good result.
I wonder if having a blood test would be beneficial to you in this case,
and I wonder if it may not be wise to think of the amount of vegetables
et cetera that you are consuming so easily in one drink.

I've often wondered exactly what would happen to me if I just suddenly stopped taking all the pills the doc has prescribed for me and that I have been taking for years and years and years, one of which is the thyroid med of which you speak.
