Too many of that type in my life. Because they are in the family and among friends, I have no choice! Ugh!! I gave up hinting and taking them aside. They are like mayor in Toronto, arrogant and insulting, so I leave them alone!

Please forgive my long delay in visiting you! I had to laugh when I read this because I have a cousin who's just like Janet, and she drives me crazy! So much so in fact, that I don't speak to her. We never really got on anyway.

If I had a nickel for everythime I ran into someone who tried to sound smarter than they actually were . . . 
What's that old saying? "Better to let people think you're a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!" It's especially fun when the "big word" they try to use has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand! Where did these people go to school . . . ?

I can see how her attitude might be hard to deal with but people that try to impress like that usually have many issues... be patient with her. :-) xoxoxo

I know of a few Janes who try to look super smart by using big words...She'll be impressed with the definitions.

Good Post ...yes some people are mosy obnoxious in the way they must show off how clever they are, how they know more than those around them.
