I'll have to run this Sun Post past Son #1.  He will have some kind of comment as he is very interested in this sort of thing and keeps up on it.

Nautikos

I’d bet that scientists would find that it happened before, or they've been seeing it wrong Naut. BC-A, Bill’s R®t

Obviously it is something else the armature in the white house has failed to mention.

As if we don't have enough to think or worry about! People seem to forget that absolutely nothing in the universe is "stable," and everything is in constant motion! The fact that the human race has survived this long given the overall instability of the cosmos is amazing in and of itself . . .

I read something a couple years ago about the north and south

poles reversing polarity, but the orb in question was earth, not the sun. The result of this was to be a change in the northern lights - they'd come much further south, and there'd be more solar radiation getting through the ozone layer, more cancer, weather changes. I think you've got a point about going back to look for meaning in such things as chicken entrails and tea leaves. It couldn't possibly be more confusing.

Rainbow around the Sun

Just last week people in Pretoria gazed open mouthed at a rainbow completedly surrounding the Sun in broad daylight without a single cloud in the sky and no rain.Pictures of this amazing sight made the front page of all the newspapers the following day and the All Shares Index on the JSE plumetted to an 'all time low'. Coincidence?

bring back the days before evironmental and Climate change studies become the new religion....and actually, never mind the sun...not much we can do about her, or the sniffy entrails of a chicke wthe a head chopped off by a silver knife and the entrails spread on a wooden platter...One must wait until the Moon is full and the witches are flying. On that night you go to the tastiest Chinese Restuarant....I know a couple of fabulous ones in Sydeny Australia...there while you sip at a bottle of your favorite brew you break open a fortune cookie. What ever is says will be your fate!!!!

Wow   Everything keeps getting crazier and crazier... sometimes I think  there is such a thing as too much information.  What the heck does that mean?  How can the North pole reverse polarity and the South pole not? Does that mean the Sun now has two South poles and if so how does that work?  Hmmmmmm  You know what?  I too miss the times when the sun was just a bright spot in the sky and who knew there were storms up there and that they affected our planet... More importantly...   if they knew no body cared!!!!  and we could go sailing and get all tanned and beautiful and fish all we wanted ( no limits in size and amounts),    without caring about the consequences.  Now a days everything is a hassle... I went to the keys not too long ago and we went snorkeling.  You should have seen the lecture we had to sit through to be able to catch some lobsters!  I have been scuba diving and snorkeling since I was old enough to dive... I know you do not get females with eggs.. I know all that... most people do... and back then we could catch all we wanted... now there is a limit and they have to weigh your catch!!!!  There were way more divers back then...  now people go to the supermarket to get their lobsters... and lobsters did not finish or got endangered...Why all tat rebulu ?  My kids did not need to go through a documentary on the mating habits of  lobsters to be able to enjoy a day of diving... I feel sorry for kids... their world is so different than the one I grew up in, and not for the better in most ways.   True they say knowledge is power but I also believe Ignorance is blessed sometimes... Don't you?
