I also believe that we should say thank you, each and everytime we see a veteran and say thank you to those who are still serving. The one thing I do is say thank you, even if it is to a homeless person on the street. Not enough is being done to help our vets. That is the one thing I am definitely sure about. I also think that "Operation Homefront" which we hear about during this season should be available all the time for people to donate goods and money too. These families need our help also. Not enough thank you's can be said to our military.

The one thing I am not sure about, is How the world can blame just one man for all this screwed up mess we are in. I am not in any way justifying these things that have happened, nor am I saying any good has come out of the last election. It is just that so many people just seem to want to blame just the president, and not place blame where blame needs to be placed. It seems to me to be a little too late to be finding all these things out now, unless something is going to be done about them, instead of just talking about them.

I too did not know of many of these ( a few, but not all ). I guess the fact that he was the first "black" president had nothing to do with it! I said it before, and I'll say it again . . . a politician is a politician is a politician, and I don't think any of them really care about John & Jane Q. Public anymore. Where do we go from here? What choices do we really have . . . ?

This was a great post, and thank you for remembering. I had been home 32 years before anyone thanked me. I did what I had to do, I servered my country, I watched men die, and I came home and got spit on.

There are many here in the states that also wonder who are those that voted for him yet again...  No one I know would admit to it  loll...  But its really not funny... I laugh out of embarrassment for my fellow Americans who have dug their own hole and now can't get out of it.  Thanks for sharing Justi  xoxoxo

Re: Justi

There are so many of us who wonder the same thing, who are they, where are they and the real scandals that have backed up on this are a real tragedy.

Justi

How come that I, a mere Canadian, knew of many of these things (certainly not all, mind you), plus his disastrous foreign policies that are not even mentioned here, and that Americans who should have known them voted him in yet again?
