No doubt he was wondering exactly that: We're here..but the car is there. Strange....

Hey Naut!  Nice reading you again :-)  Always so special to read about your doggie.. you have such an amazing relationship with him and you are intuned to his every move.  Amazing that he noticed that but if you think about it... why wouldn't he?  Your car is as much a part of his life as it is of yours :-)  Be well and take care of you  xoxoxo

Last night on TV I watched parts of Crusoe, a movie about Robinson Crusoe whom I always find interesting.  In this movie, he landed on the island with his dog that he loved very much.  The dog was his only companion for ever so long, and then it died leaving him devastated and and all alone.  It made me cry.  Then for some reason I thought about you and your doggies that you have written so much about.  What a blessing is a doggie friend.

It's amazing

how perceptive animals can be.  I was always so surprised when I would return from college and my dogs would instantly recognize me and go nuts with happiness.

and Graysome knows the sound of our cartoo. He will be waiting by the back door long before it gets up our drive if Wiley is out in it...if it is another vehicle, he will be racing to the windows and telling us all about someone coming to call.

I had never thought about how a pet might recognize models of a vehicle...I have to admit that at the trail I go to, I one time kept pushing the button, trying to unlock my car to no avail only to find out it was not mine, just one that looked like mine.

See? They're more in-tune and aware of their surroundings and possessions than people might think! Believe it or not, our cats are the same way. Make one tiny change to anything in their environment, and they sit there and stare at you as if to say "What the hell, man?" They're smarter than most people give them credit for . . .

I'm sure he knows your schedule, too, and finds ways to

remind you if you're about to be late for something. I could just see the two of you checking out the situation.

How cute, I just wonder in his doggy mind if he thought you should  both in the car. I bet if he had sniffed inside he would have thought, silly me. Seriously it shows he recognizes his car as a possession,

That is why I love dogs and cats so much they are so communicative in ways you have to patiently observe over time. This is great.

Our animals are amazing, I have learned by the look on my cats face when someone is coming to the door, so I answer it before they ring the bell, and they look at me when I tell them, my cat told me you were coming...Of course they smile politely.
