We used to go to the park and catch gold fish in the small lake they had and we put them in a glass, but we were by no means, upper class. I really liked the story today CCT, it reminded me of the good times...Thank you.

Re: Re: Re: A charming reminiscence!
Truthfully not much at present Ciel, recently Arthur has been watching some kind of space serial and I just read the E-books. I guess if he is here I just watch what he does, not that program, but sometimes he chooses interesting ones and I just watch those.
I do not switch the tele on much just for myself these days. I wish I could have been more illuminating . All the funny guys have died.

Re: Re: A charming reminiscence!
I recently watched (again) ELIZABETH R, the Masterpiece Theater production with Glenda Jackson that I first watched with my mom, when I was around 16. HOUSE OF CARDS... DOCTOR WHO... various mysteries... I don't have TV, I watch what's available through Netflix, which is quite a lot. What kind of shows do you watch, when you do?

Re: Jimmy
Well imagine a house 4ft tall and no roof and no inside walls and about forty feet long. That was a tank. I think they must have been built to dip the new blankets in as they were sometimes fumigated with sulphur.

I don't think a goldfish's mouth would be large enough Ciel. How strange, I hardly ever watch TV these days. I wonder what program apeals to you.

Re: Kabu
Charming but I do not wish to meet one on a higher plane just yet. Fish seem quite warm when they are with chips.

I wonder how those fish survive under the ice. i look at the River here so deep and wide and they ice fish on it in the Winter. It is thick enough to drive across but there are fish.

A charming reminiscence!
I remember trying to fish for the neighbor's goldfish in their pond, using a string and a bent-open safety pin. I remember thinking it would be good not to get caught. As it happened, no one got caught that day.
Sometimes reading your posts makes me go off to watch something from BBC.

Some properties look very nice with ponds, depending, of course, how large they are, and what they're stocked with. And I guess doughy bread is as good a bait as any, although the extra carbohydrates will eventually just slow the fish down! And I would love to see what a "concrete fishtank" looks like . . .

It is interesting reading of life experiences...I like how you use the word perhaps in the poem. It adds a lot to it.
