Just write anything at first and keep writing until it starts taking shape and getting right.  You can always delete the chaff!

I know the feeling Annicita... I would be willing to bet any writer does  loll What I do is I just write, not necesarily the first sentence but just anything.  There is no law that says you got to write in a certain order.  Write whatever you say you have...  whatever!  ... Start like by describing for example one of your characters... Lets say is a little girl... Write something like   " She sat by her window and stared out into the night... "  and go on " Her black hair softly fell about  her face ... etc. etc."  you get the idea :-)  Before you know it you have a chapter and who knows... Maybe you decide to begin your book with it , or not,  but you will find it makes it easier to find that dreaded "first" sentence :-)  That concept  was given to me by one of my dearest teachers in College when I could not  for the life of me find the words to start a paper that was due... I thought then  it was, and still think it is,  brilliant and its served me well in all walks of life.  Good luck! xoxoxo

Wish I could help you, but I don't write novels...

Once you get past the first sentence the rest of the "dominoes" will begin to fall. Begin with a descriptive sentence, like, "The morning was a beautiful lady, striding over the horizon in her favorite, golden dress." In my experience, if you begin with something, like nature, that is a necessary but secondary background subject, it is easier to get started. You will be fine. Just try to clear your mind with something else for a few hours, then come back and look at the world in your mind again. Hang in there.
