I would think having experienced war first hand, you would want to do all you could to prevent future wars

I wish my friends that I lost in Vietnam, even the boy I held as he died in my arms crying for his mother could read this, I wish all those brave Americans who gave their all to save the world in World War Two, and yes, even you, from the threat of Fascism, could see what you have penned here...It sickens me to the core.

Here's another way to look at it . . . general George C. Patton once exclaimed: "No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. You win a war by making the other poor, dumb bastard die for his country!" No serving, just dying! What does that tell you . . . ?
