Re: Lustorlove

You are too young never mind I have spoken to someone who remembers them and he said they were horrible.

Re: JUSTi

JUSTI  It may have been locust beans, a Carob bean but no one remembers. I will have to ask my brother. Yes Chumpet is quite a nice little character. So glad that you feel better.

Re: Pat

No the old chap was relying on Archie to supply the wood . Archie as you know only gets a small pension so it looks like his F.I.L is in for a cold Winter. He has plenty of money but like a lot of older folk he likes to hang on to it. Yes as soon as someone says a derogatory remark about Chumpet  he will probably vanish. Well excepting Kabu as she might want to be a character as it was her original wood.I keep telling Archie to be careful the wood that he lifts from skips is not treated with chemicals, he does not take much notice.

Re: "Ciel

Yes one does aspire to create the new expression kind of frog-speak.

I hope Charlie found the disappearing man . Enjoyed your photos.

Re: CCT

Hi Naut I might have been  referring to something like the Carob bean . You have not tried pickled onions, well try silver-skins with a slightly sweetened vinegar. Archie just dumps raw onions into jars with pickling vinegar, they are selling like hot cakes. I suppose zips are more appropriate, but not very tasteful/

Re:

No I must find the proper name for it FS. i think I probably mispelled.

Perhaps my mother called it that and it just stuck in my mind.

I'll come back to you when I suss it out. There is a locust tree species. A Carob Tree a pod bearing pods that are used for as a substitute for chocolate . These beans

were more like liquorice and treacle but taste buds are sweeter when one is young

Re: Kabu

Now do you want to be in this wood drama Kabu, you might not be a very nice character,if you do not reply, you will miss your chance of everlasting fame.

Re: Adnohr

I can't remember Adnohr, No I don't think the queen lives in the cottage, we shall have to wait  and find out. I mean we have not been in there yet .I can't tell what is inside until someome opens the door.

I don't remember this poem either, but it's cute even if a repeat. Would the queen be Adnohr...or would that be the sweeping witch?

I myself am not familiar with lotus beans...Things are never dull with Chumpet and Agnet around...I wonder if the speaker was able to get her in the mood.

CCT

One of these days I will just have to try some pickled onions, as well as lotus beans, that I had never even heard of before...I see Chumpet and Agnet are at it again - I just don't trust those two to behave themselves in public...And no, they don't wear ribbons any more, do they?

"re-ponding" the frogs... I like that!

I hope the froggies were re-ponsive to Chumpet's efforts!

I assume the wood Archie was reclaiming is to be used for firewood

and not as a woodworking project. I don't know how large one bag of coal is, but it doesn't seem enough to keep a cottage warm for more than a week, and that if it's mild weather, with no blown snow...

Little Chumpet and his frogs are still fun. :)

I hope Archie makes a real go of it. The poetry was wonderful, and thank you so much for your comment, coming from you it was very special for me.
