It sounds to me like the car the little old lady only drove to church on Sundays...Is it for sale?...Just joking.

Naut is right - one needs to get them out and drive them hard to keep them in shape. If not your son, maybe your sis, the NASCAR driver hopeful?

I know the problem Taps . I keep reading that one should drive ex number of miles so I just keep my old car and use it as you do. I do however get the oil changed and a good service each year and charge the battery every week or so. As my brother said if one has to have a cam belt changed it is worth more than the car. New cars though are a pain one is always afraid it will get scratched and I always feel sorry losing the old one.

There comes a day you don't enjoy squeeling tires and and whipping in and out of traffic or at least it did for me many moons ago. I am glad you have new tires. Be blessed.

I hate buying a car because one gets all excited and they smell so good when they are new and then after a while it is just a car to get from A to B and I still have to make the payments. Hope yours is soon on the road again.

TAPS

Funny thing about cars - they need a good workout once in a while! Just driving a couple of miles to get the groceries is actually harder on an engine than a high speed run on the expressway! You should get Son#1 to give your sled the odd highway run to give it an 'Italian tune-up'...

TAPS..we have very low mileage on our Chev...

I hardly drive anymore, certainly no expressway driving, so its mostly Liz driving back and forth to work...we're hoping this car will be the last one we buy....

For now, I find myself driving about 25,000 miles per year. I wonder how long I will maintain that pace...I am not too keen on shopping around for things either.

Spider webs... oh, my...

Well, even if it is gathering a bit of moss, you want your rolling stone ready in in case you ever want to roll.
