                Well I left my black shoes outside in the rain last night I did not mean to of course. They did give me a reproachablle soggy look, yes I get your gist, if only we could do unto others as we would do unto ourselves.

                I understand completely, and your analogy of a "well-worn shoe" is adequate. The only difference is, a shoe doesn't have feelings. If you leave your partner out in the rain, you will surely pay for it the next day . . .
