Even if I'm a what has been termed a 'rocker' (Ozzy, AC/DC, Pink Floyd), I can remember enjoying Mr. Alpert's music. I did the same as TAPS - hunted up the CD and played it loud.

Great post! I loved Herb Alpert and his Tijuana Brass, and also Dave Brubeck. Now I have to put on some good old music and listen again.
