A really good idea using up the spare wool a pity the postage is so expensive these days or you could export your hats.

I crocheted a basket out of saved string that fits over a little plastic
tub that once contained yogurt. I'm thinking of spray-painting the whole thing white to make it look like ceramic, and putting a little bunch of silk flowers inside. Or such little baskets could be party favors, filled with little candies or ????
