Re: Re: Two poems for the price of one!
Well, FB 'friends' don't come in and see your house or your housekeeping, you don't have to serve coffee or tea or biscuits... or how your hair looks, or what you're really like.
If you want more critique, perhaps you might say so in your blogs. People are reluctant here, to give it, knowing some really really don't want it. Also, poetry is hard to critique because it's so personal, the metaphors aren't always such that everyone will grasp them. So--generally I will tell you how I relate to or understand what the poet writes. It isn't criticism, it's feedback.

Yes I thought you were probably running out of time Lion.
One has to run to keep up with events these days to make a muckle.

Re: Two poems for the price of one!
Well Ciel usually I don't remember what I have posted, so perhaps I am not stressed as much as some and I do really like replying to those who take the trouble to comment, I would like more criticism, but that would encourage me to be a bit more jokey, I expect. I know life is tough for some folk and this is hardly a money making event. As a lady told me recently her neighbor has two hundred friends on Face-book. She does not open the door to anyone. Strange don't you think.

Great work, I like the first poem in particular - it sums up my feelings about Blogit (even if I have less time to be on here)

Two poems for the price of one!
Comments seem to run in cycles, I've noticed that, too, and that commentors come and go. My own urges to speak up do the same. But I always read certain blogs, and your are three of them. Though I haven't seen anything new in the others, in a while. Not chiding, just observing. But whatever you post, and your comments always brighten my day.

Love the flower.
My brain's too feeble to get a take on the poetry today. Running on empty.

Re: CCT
I see Naut she knew more than I do about Porsche's mine was a tiny Morris Minor that gradually moved across the road until one pulled it back. Also some old car that had been in a garage for ten years and was apt to slow down as one accelerated, very dangerous when trying to overtake a lorry which in those days were limited to 30 mph. Then one day I found a drop of oil in the fuel pump gave it a new life.

Re: Taps
No it is a bud, we usually break them off, but it is a shame really as they make another flower.

You're certainly ranging far again today, Medieval scatological nonchalance juxtaposed to 20th century warbirds, and then of course the poem speaking of the tensions of hovering on the edge of non-fulfilment...
Oh, and re your comment the other day: My gorgeous blonde girlfriend pointed to the police car thinking it was a Porsche because that car had '911' on its door, which is our emergency telephone number. But it is also associated with what must be the most famous and long-lived sports car of all time - the Porsche 911...

It is interesting reading about the American soldier...It does seem that in relationships many end up wanting more but getting less...

Well, I for one am praising your poem here.
May I ask, is that a green tomato beneath that beautiful flower?
