Perhaps. But since it was 500 years ago, it may not have had the impact today that you might think. I believe, eventually, someone would have come along and wiped out the Ottomans. Then who knows what we might be wearing . . .

There was enough of a Christian base to win over them. I don't know about now. I guess both sides won. Those were the Ottoman Turks were they not? Well Turkey has more Christians now than then and Europe has fewer Christians and more Ottomans. The world as a whole has less love and understanding of their fellowman.

I did not know that.
I'd say thank you for sharing, but that would come off sounding snide. So I won't. But it's nice to be able to move about in jeans and a tee shirt and not have to cover my face when I go outside (although some might prefer it).
