Nope, Things can "loom" all they want, but my message to myself each morning is 'You will be happy today, no matter what. It's just another day, after all' And that works for me. Love Happy Bubbles.
Good, thought provoking post!

The only thing looming here is Bills for the garage and the hire car. LOL...I do not believe all this Doomsday stuff that the World will come to an end if America goes over some sort of didn't meet their creditors dead line thingy. I think mostly it is media Hype...

You know, I read a little thing on FB the other day that makes me put this in perspective.
It said "Are you being grateful? If you are rushing, you are not being grateful. If you are in a bad mood, you are not being grateful.etc" I'm sure you can find it.
Anyway, I'm thinking that with this looming thing, too. If you have things looming, and you are worrying about all of this, you are actively keeping yourself from feeling grateful.
I'm working on integrating that into my daily mind set, so maybe you can benefit from that thought, too. :)

I don't think about what's looming.
I'll deal with it when it gets here.

Re: Pat_B
The government shutdown looks like it will continue into the weekend. But with Tropical Storm Karen looming along the Gulf Coast, the furlough was brief. After the Governor called a state of emergency, workers who were considered "non-essential" in the wake of the shutdown suddenly found themselves wanted again.

The weather channel says Karen is looming, and may be either
a big storm or a hurricane, but 8 inches of rain will fall along the Gulf Coast. Weather patterns being what they are, Karen should arrive here ready to shake out the water like a giant retriever after he's brought back the duck. And from the north and west, that storm that's dumping a foot of snow on N. Dakota is likely to meet up with that one in this neck of the woods. Or not.

Good post we should look daily to our personal standing. There is nothing looming over me personally that the Lord can't take care of at anytime. The thing that bothers me is that the Bible predicts the cloud looming over us as a country. It is incredibly difficult because too many intelligent people are caught up in a looming smoke that blocks out the light of reality. Our grandchildren and great grandchildren are in for a ride we could not have imagined. It makes me think of how Jews just followed instruction thinking it was okay and would be over when they worked for these people. They could not conceive of their really being led to gas chambers..... We are on that walk and refuse to see the dark looming behind our own light.... Too many people follow their own political party without looking totally into it to the point it has become their God... Bad looming.
