This morning, one of my "affiliated" (by marriage) family members began unpaid leave/furlough from his government job, and my baby Sis was informed that she could keep working, but she would not be paid anything until this was all settled and the government was "open" and running again. So with everything so up-in-the-air, she cancelled her trip to KC to visit us. Can't say as I blame her.
